strategy. This strategy is based on tried and tested cognitive behavioural
principles that have shown themselves to be easy to
use and effective in solving problems in a variety of different settings and
circumstances

1. Define the problem
2. Stop and think
3. Seek information
4. Generate alternatives
5. Think of the consequences
6. Planning
7. Verification
The 7 step strategy is a user friendly, logical, and
sequential approach to problem solving. Once the 7 steps have been learned they
will continue to provide a template and framework that can be used to deal
with, sort out and resolve problems that are part of every day life.
